C and P exam basics
What a compensation and pension exam is.
After you file, VA may ask you to attend a claim exam, often called a C and P exam. It helps VA rate your disability. It is not a treatment visit.
General tips VA shares
Go to your scheduled exam, arrive on time, and bring a photo ID. VA explains that missing an exam can delay or affect your claim. Answer questions honestly and fully.
